Didn't find one but thought there might've been one. Anybody know?

Hi,

Not my post, but I'm looking to have a custom game list that can be sorted in age (year of release) order, or maybe in a completely custom order. i.e. listed in any random order I choose.

The only 'sort by' options I have at the moment  are name, rom, genre, play count.

My main problem with this (and it's just me being picky!!) is having a series of games where the first in the series actually comes at the bottom of the list alphabetically, and even if sorted by year of release is the same year as a later release and still wouldn't be listed first.

Cheers for any advise :)

Loadman, well, I find Mame32/UI extremely helpful in sorting out old roms (I seem to have a ton from some years ago that I guess I got but never tried and didn't know they didn't work till now) as well as trying new games and then incorporating them into my lists.

Essentially, and I guess these are actually more MaLa feature requests, what I think would be ideal is the following:

- that when updating the main list* within the FE, it would check the mame32/ui folder ini for changes - or - there be a manual option for this in the config gui, so that while it would still be manual, it wouldn't require updating each sub-list via the game editor, replacing files in the MaLa folder, etc, every time a game is added. (Unless someone knows something I'm missing.)

-  a small thing: allow game list update from any sub-list.

Man, I'd love to be able to re-size or maximize the window... some of the source names I have are loooong.

:o

Ahh Can't see that happening anytime soon. Sounds like a ton of work.

The only thing I can suggest is that you can import mame32 lists via the gamelist editor

Sounds easy enough
