Very Nice 27" Standard-Res monitors available
« on: June 13, 2003, 12:48:53 pm »

Just a "heads-up" for anyone who might be looking for a nice monitor that just happens to fit perfectly in a cabinet, inside their case (about 24 1/4" wide outside case dimensions.)

I have a limited quantity of 27" viewable Standard Res (15.75khz) monitors that will be available as soon as the custom packaging I ordered gets here.

The interface is true RGBS (DB-9) and includes a composite input as well so you can even watch movies on them if you wish :).

They are very lightly used with pristine, scratch-free screens and nice, black metal enclosures (that can withstand about 500lbs of downward force :) ).  The images these put out are super bright and colorful with incredible contrast due to the tinted glass.

They are tested and adjusted on an ArcadeVGA card for the best compromise in usable modes.  The "low-res" or non-interlaced Windows desktop mode on this card causes vertical roll which can't be adjusted for.  From some of the posts I have seen this doesn't appear to be all that uncommon.  The other common non-interlace modes give a very nice picture and emulators look fantastic.

But the interlace isn't too bad with Windows and virtually unnoticable with anything else.

I'm asking $325 each, which includes delivery by UPS to anywhere in the continental U.S..

I have also tried these hooked up to an XBOX through RGB, and again, awesome picture.  Should give the same results with Dreamcast, Amiga, Genesis, whathaveyou....

I also have SCART (True RGB) cables available from my on-line store for just about any system.  You'll need to do the hacking though :).

If anyone has any interest or questions, drop me a line.

Why not just buy a refurbished D9200 direct from Wells-Gardner for $20-60 more, depending on shipping.  You'll even get a 1 month warranty? :-\ Granted you are paying delivery,

Personally I'm taking the plunge and buying brand new D9200.  That's about $175 more but worth the full warranty.  Cuts though.

hmm...composite, huh?  ACT-labs TV-guns?

Just curious, I've already purchased my monitor option.

Just an FYI.

Delivery on these monsters runs about $80.00 or more and this is included in my price.  Some may have gotten better deals than that, but it's not the norm.
