I am building the Ultimate Bartop cab from mameroom.com, but my monitor won't fit while it's inside the casing. First off, I'm a little freaked out by all of this decasing business. However, all I want to do is remove the case, see if it fits, and then possibly mount it. Since I do not plan on messing with any of the components on the inside, is it still necessary (or highly recommended) to get it discharged? It is a 15" Envision CRT that has been unplugged and sitting around for about a year.
I am at the point where I may just break down and purchase a 15" LCD (even though a CRT is more authentic) that I know will definately fit and won't be cramped. Another concern I have is if all of the PC and electrical components will even fit if a CRT is taking up all that space. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
