You need to update your romset with each new release; they need to match. The update from .126 to .127 is over 600 MB, so there are probably going to be a lot of issues this time if you try to use an old set.

Is there now a bios file for CPS1+2? If there is you will need that in your rom folder.

would it be against the rules to ask where to get this rom set?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I wait for romcenter to fix the roms, but es really boring re download all romsets for cps1.  The another solution is copy and compile old driver in mame 0.127.  But loss all new features named in the "whatsnew.txt".

For now still use old version 0.125

Any information about fix this roms is welcomed.

CPS1 games (well, most of them really but not all) had an additional board with some ROMS on them with various functions that were hacked around prior to the latest version of MAME.  Now, thanks to some chip de-capping I believe, they were able to properly emulate those previously "hacked around" boards.  This is going to help get rid of a bunch of bugs and errors that were previously present.
