Rock Band 2 Premium Drum Kit!!
« on: July 17, 2008, 01:23:30 pm »
Keep in mind that the current RB1 kit will work with RB2, and they're be a newer 'regular' kit available with RB2, but daaaayum if the 'Premium kit' isn't on my wish list.

Awesome. At $300 it better be a half-way decent cheaper alternative to a regular electronic drum kit...
From what I've read, you can swap out the 'brains' and it's road ready.

It's also:
- quieter than the RB1 kit.
- pressure sensitive, for drum rolls
- wireless
- equipped with reinforced bass-pedal
- expandable

There's also a premium Fender guitar.  Full sized, realistic weight, made of wood.  Pretty cool.  The drum kid looks way cooler, though, IMO.

No double-bass pedal?

It's an option.  Seriously.

Is no bass pedal and option.

I get a shin splint just thinking about playing RockBand's drumset.

Really?  I've never had shin splints from anything, but I used to be a drummer when I was in high school and I never felt like it was hard on my legs.  Everybody I know who get shin splints get them from running.  I can't imagine drumming putting your legs through anything like running on them.

Im going with Guitar Hero World Tour.  It has the double bass pedals and you can create your own songs.  Ive never been a fan of the RB note style GH suits me better.

It's probably just a cramp, but it feels like a shin splint.  I'm over 6 feet tall.  The two positions Rock Band has for the foot pedal are useless to me.   If I could move it to the side or back 4 more inches it would be great.  The way the stand is with the cross bars make it impossible to get comfortable. The only way I can play the drums for a prolonged session is to turn the pedal backward and step down on it with my heel.

You're not doing it right. I'm 6'5". No problems.

Well . . . at least you know that if you buy the $300 premium drum kit for Rock Band 2 you can place the foot pedal anywhere you want.

That new drum kit has to many drums and symbols.

If I wanted to spend that much money and have it so complicated I'd by a used set of real drums.

Guitar Hero's Drum kit looks fun and comfortable too.

It'll be interesting to see which game is better.

Wild; doesn't look too different from my actual electronic drum kit... Bet it wouldn't be that hard to wire up the outputs of real electronic pads to Rockband... MIDI to RockBand converter anyone? ;-)

A Ddrum kit like the one I have:

Yeah I seen people hack into the drum of rock band already and hook them up to a midi trigger controller.

I have a set of roland TD-6 with extras.

Hope this helps anyone that has kits

The whole point of those, is that it they are a real set of drums.

It comes with a Rock Band module, but you can plug in a regular drum module in its place and be bangin away in a real band.

For the record... This is just a third party drums option. It isn't the official Rock Band 2 set of drums.
