19" monitor boards with s-video input for sale
« on: June 02, 2003, 05:05:16 pm »
I saved these bad boys but chucked out the burned in tube that they were attached to.

Like the topic says these are monitor boards for a 19" tube and they have an s-video input in back and an onboard audio amp. Basically you can use them to convert that old 19" junk tv into something you can run Mame on. They DO NOT have a tuner. So any tv you convert with these will only be able to display from s-video.

The neckboard has 8 pins and the boards were made in 1998 and they do not require an isolation transformer.

Make an offer.

I've got a 19" TV that got zapped in a storm a few weeks ago.  When I hit the power button I just hear a switch click on and off, but no video.
Would I be able to use your goods to make it into a MAME monitor??

That depends on if your tube got zapped or if something else inside got zapped instead. If your tube is ok (and an 8 pin one) then these boards should work for you just fine.

No RGB input that I know of it may have it somewhere on the board, but not on the back. What it has on the back are SVideo, audio in, video in (RCA jack type), and some other connector I am not familiar with.

I can take a picture, and I don't want much for the boards. Just enough to make it worth my while to stick them in a box and take them to the post office. So, feel free to make a lowish offer.

I don't do ebay anymore (account was teakwoodmanor, no longer registered because I forgot I owed ebay like $11 and now it won't let me go to the page to print the bill to send payment).

But feel free to ask about me on either the arcade newsgroups, or here. I have done a couple deals here, and have bought/sold a dozen+ items on the arcade newsgroups.

You can also check me out on the klov.com boards where I go under the name tbbk, have done deals there with Texashotshot (monitor boards), Warlord (multipart game/pinball trade), Mongo (more deals than I can count), Noice87 (many parts traded for game), and have a pending deal with kspiff (who also posts here).

I understand your reservations though. I am always a bit antsy sending money to some name on a messageboard or the newsgroups, but so far no one has ever done me wrong on either one.

4 more questions:

1. Is there anything wrong with these boards?(sorry if this is a stupid Q.)

2. Do you take paypal?

3. How would you ship it?

4. About how much would it cost to ship it?

Could the $20 be a shipped price?
How heavy are these.
I still need to tear my TV apart and see if I have this 8-pin connector (whatever that looks like).
Looking forward to some pics.

Nothing wrong with the boards. I just "parted" the unit yesterday.

When checking to see how many pins you have just take the neck board off and count the pins on the neck.

I take money orders only.

Won't cost much to ship.

Pictures coming soon.

I cross ship with people I have had dealings with before, or with anyone who has an established reputation that I know of. Otherwise I wait for payment (and since I don't know you, I wait for payment).

My email should be on my profile.

I pulled the back off the TV and there was a little circuit board attached to the back of the tube neck.  I pulled this offf.  It was connected to the neck with 10 pins I think.  There was a round black connector on the tube that has 10 pins going around.  9 are evenly spaced around, then there is a space and 1 more is sectioned off in it's own little plastic housing.
Does this mean I have a 10 pin connector and your boards will not fit?

Yep. Mine is not going to work with that one. The one I have has 7 pins and then an 8th one sectioned off.

What I think I am going to do with these is this. I have a ton of assorted computer/electronics/arcade stuff laying around that I no longer need and don't want to drag with me when I move. I am just going to stick the stuff into box sized lots, and list the boxes here cheap.

So be looking in a couple days.
