I'm glad for you Havok, but I'm getting like 2kB. Could it be that you are/were downloading the older parts that everyone already has? Are other people finding that downloading of the brand new avi's is very slow or is it just me??? Maybe I'm just downloading stuff that no one else really has yet? I'm getting the lower quality horizontals.

Yep - hit a brick wall at 80% - I'm at 81.5% and I'm downloading at 12 kB/s now. At least I'm helping to get everyone up to my level. Looks like there is only one seeder, so none of us have more than 82%, hence the slow speed.

OK, good to know it's not a problem on my end. I'd think that it would gradually accelerate though as each of us grabs different pieces and can then share them with everyone else.

Yes, it does look like its been removed from the site.

Im getting a tracker error, but its still downloading. Looks like theres 0 seeds, maybe thats why.

Yeah, you're right. It says it's been disabled due to a newer one becoming available, but it's not there. It did say "WIP" - maybe he found some problems and is in the process of getting it corrected. Doesn't look like there's a new torrent thread though, so I guess only time will tell.

There is a thread over there in "general chat" that is somewhat revealing about what's going on right now, as well as why it took so long for the torrent to go up (including posts by circo). I can't quite tell if a new torrent is right around the corner or we're going to go back to waiting and waiting like before yesterday.

I think the reason it took so long in the first place was based on a misunderstanding on Circo's part regarding a conflict with another torrent (MameXT). And as for the torrent being pulled, it was due to Circo not following proper procedure when he created the torrent, though I think he misunderstood the reason as being that the mods were pulling his torrent because of the conflict with MameXT (some sort of favoritism being shown), felt offended, and left.

I emailed Circo today about it, hoping to clear up the confusion since he appeared to leave [romsite name redacted] before things got clarified. The things he failed to do are so simple that it would seem trivial to get the torrent back up. Let's hope that it happens soon!

I was going to donate anyways, so I'll just signup and download from his site instead. He created the videos, he shouldn't have to change stuff around to please [romsite name redacted]. I can certainly understand why he just walked away, if he did. They can be a bunch of whiney babies sometimes. Hopefully it gets sorted out...

He doesn't have to change anything around. He just needs to provide a DAT and post in the new torrents forum. That's it. The guide to uploading torrents clearly states that. However, I think he got the same impression that you seem to have, Havok. The mods there clarified the expectations though.

Well even though I just emailed Circo today, I got a reply from an email I sent about a week ago saying he's working with the [romsite name redacted] staff to get it up soon. Good news!

In his defense, once he was ready to upload the new torrent, he posted and asked about. One of the mods asked about the DAT, then Petr1fied came back and said he didn't need a DAT by basically handling the new torrent for him.

Not really Circo's fault at all. Someone with more experience could easily help him out by making the DAT for him.

I'm new to this FTP stuff...It appears I am logged into the ftp server, but I only see one folder with a "ftpquota" file in it. Is the site down? Or do I need to do something else to see the avi files?

Why not for the community who downloaded the last torrent, get together some how to share the contents so the community downloads the files they need? I've managed to get 87.9%. Any ideas? No disrespect to Circo, I just hope he gets back into the scene again, continuing his passion & ignoring the crap which has happen and any future issues which may arise. In the mean time, we can support each other?

I donated on Sunday , 6/15 and received my password that night. I then sent a follow-up question on Monday that was answered the same day.
