Video stuff... :(
« on: May 18, 2008, 03:35:54 pm »
 ???

This is about to drive me crazy lol.  I planned on using an arcadevga card to adapt my PC to an arcade monitor.  I found out my PC doesn't have an AGP or a PCIe slot in it.  It uses onboard video, it says intel extreme graphics.

So, I guess what I am trying to do is hook this up to an arcade monitor and not fry it.  I looked at soft15khz and it didn't seem to support that video chip/card.  I then looked up powerstrip and downloaded it and attempted to follow the wiki on how to get it to work.  I think the wiki is for an older version because the menus are different, and I can't find the arcade monitor setting.  I assume you can make your own setting but cant really figure out what to put as far as horizontal and vertical sync rate and all the other choices.

I will be using a JPAC, so I think that would stop any harmful signals from going through till after it boots up.

So, if there is a way to get powerstrip to work, how can I hook the PC monitor port up to the arcade monitor?  Is it correct that JPAC has a place to plug into your monitor or am I way off?

I am soooo confused!  :dizzy:

I simply cut and paste the recommended setting to the pstrip.ini file and it worked.

Good Luck!

Do you have an older version of powerstrip?  The only .ini file there is uninstall.ini the rest are .dll files.  I honestly think the version on their site is different than that in the wiki, because all the menu choices dont even exist.

Does anyone have an older version they could email me or something?  advancedspuds(gmail)(com)
