thats up to you what kind of mech you want...You want to accept just 25 cents, then get tat one, you want to take token, find out what size tokens and get that one. You want to be multiple sizes, then get that one.....

i was thinking just quarters, but the one that accepts .984 tokens and quarters is the same price so i think ill get that. i was just curious if mechs will work with pretty much any door. i assume they arent a dual assembly and i will need 2, correct? this is what i am considering:

(the $.25 & .984 QST Token Coin Mech)

Coin mechs are a standard size and should work with any door that uses standard mechs..

I ended up replacing an old broken Happs metal mech with one of the Imonex ones and I've been very happy with it.  No moving parts...

Oops... I must have pasted the wrong link  :-[  It's fixed now.  :)

I really don't know if it's worth the extra $1.  I have had some trouble with my older Happs metal coin mechs... mostly with them starting to reject coins that should be accepted.  I haven't really messed with them enough to see if I could adjust them and get them working again.  I figured for the one I was replacing, it was worth the extra for what should be more reliable....  just MHO.
