« on: May 12, 2008, 06:04:26 pm »
My dk cpu is out being fixed as we speak, with from mike's arcade him self saying that i have both sound and video issues. was thinking about up grading to the Double Donkey Kong cpu system that mike's arcade sells, was wondering if anyone here has it or has played on it to tell me what they think about it. seems like a very good idea but would like some other oppions on this, thanks john

You can only upgrade a DK jr board.

If yours is a DK board then you will have to sell your board to Mike and then buy a Double Donkey Kong board.

Also, if you get the Double Donkey Kong board, don't try to submit any world records with it because Twin Galaxies will disqualify your score.

Heh, I was just about to post the same thing GAJoe :)
Also, you could get that D2K upgrade from Jeff's Rom Hacks...It's pretty neat, and it does keep the original one so you can play either one.

thanks guys for the advice, i have my boards at mikes right now, its a dk board set, has both sound and video issues, he would do 70 on my board towards the double dk set, i figured 106 to fix and ship mine back, and 206 to buy and ship the double dk, iam never going to break any records, so having the 2 board set would in my eyes be prity cool. just wondering if anyone here had this board set and what they thought of it. thanks john
