Good words for Andy

Hey,
Just wanted to pass on a positive customer service story...

I screwed up when ordering my IPAC interface; I ordered the PS/2 rather than the USB I wanted. Of course I went and ordered the USB as well, then sent off a hasty email to Ultimarc to cancel the PS/2 order. Andy wrote back the next day that it was to late. He had shipped both already BUT, and god knows why because it was entirely my screw up, he would refund the PS/2 anyway. I'm not saying ship it back and I'll refund it, he just refunded it.

I will of course be shipping this back ASAP so Andy isn't out any money, but this trusting gesture was not wasted on me. I hope any Noobs like me out there reading this decide to give Andy some business, he's a solid guy.

I'd also like to show my appreciation to Andy.  I ordered my USB IPAC while at school.  When I returned home about a month after ordering, I opened the packaged to find that I instead had the PS/2 cable.  And quickly sent me a USB cable.  I would gladly recommend everyone to Ultimarc for any of your joystick and controller card needs!

I have only good things to say about Andy as well.  I ordered two T-Sticks awhile back and then realized the J-Sticks might have been a better option.  I sent an email and got a response back very quickly stating that he would change my order.  I think he even apologized that my order would take an extra day to ship!  Like most others here, I highly recommend Ultimarc.

Dave

There are a few people in this business that deserve much more credit than they get and Andy (Ultimarc) is certainly one of them. The others, in no particular order are Bob Roberts (therealbobroberts) and Kelsey (OSCAR controls). You jus can't beat the marriage of exceptional products and exceptional service.

Well, I have another good Andy story.

when hooking up my opti-pac, I plugged in the +5v -> ground and ground to +5v...  And...welll... smoke accured!

(btw, don't grab +5 volts from the keyboard connector without double checking... I had a keyboard/mouse splitter for a notebook I was going to get the power from... and...well... messed up somewhere along the line).  Get it from the motherboards power led... much easier.

But I emailed him asking if I could rebuy the parts, or if he would repair it for a price if I sent it back.

Well, he said... its probably this or this or this... and sent me all the parts free of charge!

man, you dont get free replacement parts for being an idiot often

Thanks Andy!
