Collection of .dat files?
« on: April 16, 2008, 02:15:01 pm »
Hello,

I am trying to get .dat files for the most popular emulators out there. I already have dats for Zinc, Daphne, and Kawaks, but it is a real pain searching for these things when I don't know anything about the emulators.

Is there a zip file somewhere that has all these .dat files in one place?

TIA,
Cakemeister

well it depends on what naming you want. If you want goodtools naming(yuck) then you shouldn't be able to find them because cowering doesn't allow them to be made. If you want no-intro naming(best I think they don't include all the extra bad dumps and such) then gbadat.altervista.org has them for a good number of systems just click the download page when you get to that site. You will probably have to run your roms through a config tool like clrmame pro or romcenter to get them named to match the dat. But thats simple(clrmame pro has a funky interface but there are guides out there, clrmamepro can also automatically download the no-intro dats for you if you plugin the website into it)
