Question concerning tagging application
« on: March 11, 2008, 05:52:49 pm »
Well, I have finished updating all the mp3 files that I could.  Most of my music are full albums ripped down.  I have finished just over 20,000 mp3 files.  Wow, that's alot of music.  I am now down to around 5,000 songs left and there is no organization involved in these songs at all.  These songs also have little to no tag information in them.  Here is my question.

Is there are program that will allow me to search the web databases for tagging information, coverart, while at the same time possibly fix the naming of the files in such a way that the files will be fixed in appropriate data folder structures as well as tagged information and track information?

I found an application by the name of fixtunes but that program is not able to locate over half my songs on the net.  It does allow for fixing of names and will move the songs fixed to appropriate album folders.  Just wondering if there are any others out there similiar to fixtunes.  Any suggestions besides picking through them one at a time and spending hours on hours trying to find correct tag info.

Thanks,

urbecrisch

Give musicip a hit at the remaining library, its pretty good about getting decent metadata from an audiofingerprint
