Credit and Start Buttons: Good cocktail location
« on: March 02, 2008, 02:47:34 pm »
I'm trying to figure out where best to put the P1 and P2 start buttons and "insert coin" buttons on my cocktail machine.  Obviously, I'm wanting to keep everything as "cocktail" as possible, so I don't want to really increase the side of my panels for the sake of adding a button or two.

I was thinking, perhaps put the insert coin buttons on the side of the actual cabinet itself (where a coin box would go), and putting the P1 and P2 start buttons on the front (as opposed to the top) of each control panel.

Any better suggestions?  Anyone with a cocktail cab care to share how you laid out your credit and start buttons?

Thanks!

What kind of cab do you have? Where are the control panels?

I have mine mounted in the cabinet itself. Williams style cocktail cabinet.

I'd go with small buttons off to the side of the player buttons on each panel.
Something like this one from Radio Shack.
They may still make them with a red center, which would be my preference.
They mount in 1/2" hole, IIRC.

I'm placing mine on the front of the CPs. My CPs have changed a lot since this model but you get the idea.
