hiding Neogeo.zip in game list
« on: March 26, 2008, 05:21:22 pm »
While using neogeo games in MALA the neogeo.zip actually shows up in the game list. Is there a way to hide it considering its only used to load neogeo games?

thanks

I found another way of doing it. If you right click the Neogeo.zip in the game list you click remove game from list. Your Neogeo games still work and you don't see the Neogeo zip.

I just create a directory called bios and add it to my mame.ini file (eg. so it looks inside the roms folder and roms\bios) that way I don't have to even try hiding it, etc.

It works great and it keeps my main roms folder uncluttered.

I also have roms\parents where I place parent roms that I don't want to see in my games list but are required to play the clones, etc.

Thats a really great method, sofakng, thanks for explaining it here.  You've inspired me to start improving my file structure in order to achieve this function and other benefits.   ;D
