Trying to remember the name of a game...
« on: December 07, 2007, 06:13:44 pm »
Hello all:

I'm trying to remember the name of an arcade game from the early 90's (best guess)

It was a 4 player game(possibly 6) that was a large enclosed booth.  Each player had a screen in front of them and sat in a chair with a turret control.  It was a fast action space game that if I recall the purpose was to fend of an attack from space fighters.  Thats all I can remember other than it was huge (physically) and it was $2.50 per session (which was a lot for a kid) so I only got to play it once.

Does anyone have a clue as to what this game could be?

After doing a little searching on the net I think I have found it.  The game is called Galaxian 3.  It was a 6 player, dual Laser Disc, game.  All I can remember about it was how amazed I was by it and and how disappointed I was when my $2.50 session lasted about 3 minutes. lol

Anyway take a look...

I played one at the Grand Casino in Hinkley Minnesota when I was a kid. That was a sweet game when all six turrets were filled.
