Add url
« on: December 06, 2007, 08:19:23 pm »
Can someone please remind me how to add a url to a post so it doesn't stretch the forum?

I've seen it before, but can't find it now!

The SMF User help: Posting explains all tags (or codes). It's not easy to find though.

There is also a URL button... bottom row, fourth from the left.

But that doesn't explain how to create a readable link does it? I was surprised how hard it was to find the syntax of the URL tag. Maybe I simply overlooked something?

I like how vBulletin does this. It creates the right code for a descriptive link from a popup.

that's about the only thing  vBulletin has going for it.  vBulletin is just way too clunky.
