Picked up a Pacman Jr. yesterday
« on: November 19, 2007, 08:21:18 am »
I picked up what is most likely my final arcade grail, a Pacman Jr.  It's a conversion, but it was what i wanted as I like it more than the dedicated cabinets and it goes well with the rest of the games in the room.  It's a galaxian conversion.  It needs a new joystick and it's got a hum bar going across the screen which i'll have to address, but other than that, it looks pretty good.  Here are a few pics:

Very nice.

I love Jr. It's my favorite pac game right behind Ms.

Now there's only one still missing....

Yeah, and Prof. Pacman and PacNPal.....

I think i'm going to stop here.  After Pacman Jr., the style of game seemed to have taken a turn.  I don't find the later pacman titles very fun.  PacNPal would still fit the earlier style, but a dedicated cab was never made that i'm aware of.

Even if you were interested, good luck trying to find a Professor Pac-Man.  According to Wikipedia, only 400 were made and almost all of those got converted to Pac-Land.

Congratulations.

Surely you have the most arcade games and the least amount of buttons.

Could you be talking about Pacman Plus?  I do have it, but it's in the other room and it's got my MAME system in it.

I meant Puckman, the great-grand daddy. Preferably the Japanese one :P

That's a nice goal to set if you've got a lovely collection like you have :)
