wiring for arcade cabinet

So are you guys ordering online wires for the cabinet or going to your local home depot to get some wiring?
What kind of wiring should I use?

Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy some wire.  The size we use for our machines is dirt cheap.  Don't overspend online.

For switches and joysticks 22 gauge is fine.

If you are wiring for an arcade pc board that is jamma compatible then your best bet is to buy a jamma harness.   That way you will have lots of cclor coded and sometimes labeled wire (depends on what you buy) that you can install in your cab.   This saves you the time and effort of recreating a jamma harness from individual wires.  Bob Roberts sells harnesses and connectors.   

You will also have multiple power wires to safely carry the requred power from the PS to the jamma board.
