I was looking at a weller 40w pencil iron but I havn't found anywhere locally to buy tips.  So until I know what I'm doing. I want to practice with the radio shack stuff.  Yes it is cheap but I can walk across the street and get new tips.  If the RS iron is even a tiny bit better than the one that I have now than I'm in good shape.  As long as I get the tip tinned properly.  Here I go...wish me luck.
