Ive played it in the past.

I love the look and sounds of it.

The gameplay is a little odd.. and feels like its nearly impossible to
master.   Maybe with extended time ownership, that may change.

I did love the shooting aspects of it.  Very fun.

Tho, I think many people get board of it after a while...
and end up either not playing it - or selling it for money
for a pinball machine.

If I had the money and room,  Id like one even just for childhood nostalgia.

About 5yrs ago, I got to play a guys house, and he told me how
to actually play.   As when I was a Kid,  I never knew you had
to actually spell out words as part of the gameplay.

I think it would have been so much better if they used
actual rows of drop targets  :)    That true tactile response
probably could have made it a huge hit.

Also, I think people got confused thinking that the game had
sensors on the field itself - thus hitting a bolt would disable
it.   Instead,  you have to hit the correct hole for the bolt
to be struck.

I've played it and Bally's Rapid Fire, which was very similar. They were interesting, but I can't say that I found either to be especially compelling from a game play standpoint. If I had the space and could get one super cheap, it would be worth having one for the novelty of it (i.e. - "Look what video games made Pinball manufacturers try as a way of competing), but I couldn't see myself ever playing one consistently.

That said, good luck with the purchase, it's definitely not a game you just stumble upon in your local watering hole, so it gets points for the "What is that?" value.

The key to that game is actually knowing HOW to play it..... otherwise it's just a whole lotta shooting going on.
Read the Tactics clips on the IPDB link you have and then the game should be much more enjoyable from a "playable game" standpoint. Understanding the goal and how to rack up your score really makes a difference in game play.
With that all being said..... it's still not easy.
You have to think of it more as a video game to really get a good game going.
Hand/eye coordination along with good aim is a must.

Also be aware of the most common reasons why you don't see too many of those machines around. They were nototrious for mechanical failures.
Mainly the shooter itself and the ball return motor and mechanism.
The electronics in it are pretty straight forward like any other Williams pin of the same system. (System 7)
You'll want to make sure that EVERY lamp and sensor in the machine is working correctly otherwise it can effect your gameplay as well.
Be sure to clean and polish the playfield real good too.
Check all the 3/4" balls for corrosion, pits, etc. There's a bunch of them and if your shooter is working well then they will be screaming fast across the playfield which will tear it up if the balls are in bad shape.

I personally enjoy playing it after finally learning HOW to play it correctly.
It's loud and obnoxious and shoots 3/4" balls and an extremely fast rate...... great stress reliever.   >:D

I've enjoyed mine for years now. ;)

What kind of price are you getting that one for?
Does it work?

There are 3 or 4 of those in our local pinball club with about 10 members (wvpinball.com).  I think people pick them up for variety.  They're fun to play a game on once in a while, but to me they aren't that compelling, as someone else put it.  I do remember playing it a few times as a kid.  The most noteworthy thing about them is they are usually the loudest game in the gameroom.  People ALWAYS comment on the noise level.

Just played one for the first time this last weekend at the Heartland pinball show -- fun game, but I sure didn't know what I was doing. Kept shooting at whatever was lit, and sometimes got good things, sometimes bad. Never really understood what was happening at all.

Loud, fast, and really unique.
