CRT VERTICAL ISSUE
« on: September 15, 2007, 10:30:36 am »
Hi,

I currently have some arcade cabinets, two of the CRTs that came with it are having vertical screen issues, it looks like it is shrunk on the bottom of the screen and the picture goes off the screen on the top, so you can't see like your health etc. What can I do to fix this problem. I will get the model number soon and post it,  it is a Phillips monitor

Thanks

this is the bad one..i just turned it on now..guess there is a black bar at the bottom now..

This is the Good one no black bar at the bottom or crunched up...but just noticed it still needs to be moved down as u can see the health bar is a little off the screen..

They really just look like they need the position/size adjusted.

There should be a remote board with 4-6 pots labeled BRT, CON, V-POS, V-SIZE, H-POS, H-SIZE

There *HAS* to be one.  Without it, the monitor will NOT function properly at all.

Look for a control vertical Lin, Vline or similar.

By the way, these controls may be on the main board, not on an extended user remote board.

Let us know how you make out.

Not on a K7500.

And you can see the control cable in one of those pictures.  It's either that or the neckboard cable.

i finally found the controls they were in the front of the game where you put the tokens in not in the back....still having a problem...i can adjust the height and stretch it out so the black bar does not show up on the bottom anymore but the screen becomes to stretched out that it goes off the screen both top and bottom and i tried adjusting the height position but it only moves down to a certain point...if it could move lower then the problem might be fixed....But i still noticed on the bottom of the screen still looks crunched up if it is not fully strecthed out..

You've got a vertical linearity issue.  Change all your c600 series electrolytic caps.
