Some noob question about arcade power and Q/D's
« on: September 10, 2007, 12:25:23 pm »
Is it safe to use quick disconects (fully insulated) for the 5 and 12v in an arcade cab?

My Power supply is making wierd noises and I want to replace it and the harness is hard wired into it.

I'm thinking of adding Q/D's to all the wires so I can swap out my PS now and at any time in the future. (I would Like to get the same Dynamo type that bolts up to the same holes.)

Will they get hot or anything?

What about using them for 110v (to the isolation Transformer?

If this is a really bad idea what should I do instead...?

They're fine.  They're rated quite high.
