Laminate preparations
« on: March 04, 2008, 03:48:43 pm »
Quick question:

Do I need to prep MDF before applying laminate? What about plywood - would I need to prep that?

If so what kind of preparation do I need to make - sand, prime?

Thanks guys.

on mdf make sure it is clean I put a layer of glue over the intire side that is being laminated and also do the same with the peice of laminate and let them sit for a minute or two and then I do it again but this time wait until both the mdf and the laminate feel sticky/tacky and then press the two together to join/bond them but this way once it's pressed it probably is not going to come back off.
