coin reject button into credit button mod
« on: September 01, 2007, 01:17:47 pm »
I remember seeing someone here that had modified their coin reject button to give credits when pushed. Does anyone remember seeing this and know where it is or who's project it was? I tried searching for it but only came up with coin mech mods to adjust which coin types can be used.

Thanks

PM this fella - slider2732 - I think he's done one, but can't find the thread on it.

i ust did this ctually...

i havent looked at these threads yet, but i just put a happ microswitch positioned so the pastic 'blade' that goes down touch the switch sightly when it travels.

at the moment it is just tied there with masking tape, funny thing is - it looks like it can stay like this for a while without secring it properly.

note that you can daisy chain both the real coin drop microswitch and this additional switch - so  you get both. its fun to put real coins in once in a while too :)

yeah I've been looking at my coin door since I found that thread and have been trying to figure out how to secure the switch in place too. There isn't enough room to use screws so I was thinking maybe just gluing it or using some type of epoxy. Not sure what the best adhesive would be for plastic to metal though  ???

I had used electrical tape with no problem, but my nephews kept putting stuff in the coin return door, so I filled that hole with 2 black push buttons and super glued quarters onto them.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

ARTIFACT, I've been following your project and I just rechecked it to try and find a pic of where exactly the micro switch is mounted. I found pics of your coin door but none with it wired up. If you get a chance could you please take a close up shot of how you did it.
