Nanao 2932 31khz Monitor Problems
« on: July 24, 2007, 09:40:39 am »
Whats up everyone,

Last night I was playing my astro city 2, which I fitted with a Nanao 2932 31khz monitor a few months back. Everything has been perfect on the monitor, excellent color, no bleed, very crisp image. Unfortunately, this monitor (since last night) has been acting up.

After about 2 minutes of playing (naomi), I heard a "pop" noise, and the monitor went from an extremely crisp image to very blurry. If I increased the contrast, the monitor will brighten, and become even more blurry. If i decrease the contrast to nothing, the picture is nice and sharp again (but very dark).

After about 20 minutes of playing, I heard another "pop"/snap noise and the image went back to being very sharp. I decided it would probably be wise to power off the monitor until I can troubleshoot it.

Has anyone ever encountered this, or have any suggestions on what I should check? I would love to say its a bad solder connection, but the fact that I heard a pop noise leads me to believe otherwise.

Please help!
Thanks,
Bill

hard to tell but if it keeps going in and out and making multiple pop noise's it probably is a cracked solder point somewheres becuase if it was something that pop popped it would not come back again or perhaps at all but if you dont find it soon much more is possible to happen that can't be good.
