AWESOME TV SHOW FOR ARCADE GAMES...
« on: April 23, 2003, 04:47:15 am »
Im pretty certain a good portion of this audiance has heard of the show STARCADE, but i stumbled across a web site dvoted to that old show and its really neat to browse the site and see all the cool stuff listed there.   It has TONS of small videos  to watch too!  Check it out, especially if you are kind of new to the scene or you weren't old enough to play alot of the old classic games in the arcade when they came out.

I am 32 years old now and have VERY fond thoughts of growing up with  MANY of the old classics that STARCADE  had on its shows.

Enjoy :)

I have never really ventured into the USENET scene, can someone give some tips on how to set that up and what to look for etc.    ? I keep hearing of all the great things on there , but for a number of years it has always been on my mind to look into it, but i never really did.
Any help would be great :)

thanks~

If you have your OutlookExpress program set up to connect to your ISP's news server, these 3 links will work:

news:rec.games.video.arcade
news:rec.games.video.arcade.collecting
news:rec.games.video.arcade.marketplace

Some browsers will also work with this:
nntp://rec.games.video.arcade
nntp://rec.games.video.arcade.collecting
nntp://rec.games.video.arcade.marketplace

(nntp meaning "Net News Transfer Protocol" much like HTTP)

If you dont have a news reader configured you can also use Google to browse the newsgroups. However they're about 9 hours behind in posts.
