Well, considering that most people have no idea how much technique and talent is required to play orchestral instruments within the standard (that is to say, ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- that's either already really old or that is conservatively retro) literature, let alone non-tonal, etc, material, they certainly have no idea of the kinds of techniques involved here:

 - multi-phonics

 - circular breathing

 - some rap machine mimicry (this last people are familiar with, alone, but not in the midst of performance of an instrument such as this)

i saw the worlds greatest beatboxer yesterday and if you can imagine, he sings whilst doing the beats and bassline and rythym, its mind blowing.

for anyone who wants to see

its killa kela beatboxing with supernatural freestyling
the beatboxing only shows 10% of what kela can do but its a link to others if you want to see him do more.
the mc says to the audience hell rap about whatever they put in his hand.
its very impressive and worth watching all of wether youre into hip hop or not, theres very funny bits in it too
