iPod / Apple TV -like jukebox software

Hi all

I'm thinking of making my arcade cab also have jukebox software (why wouldn't you, right?).

I own an iPod and love the way you navigate through your music collection, can sort based on artist etc etc. Yesterday I was in JB Hi Fi and saw the new Apple TV and loved the way it was displaying an iPod like image to the tv. It had album art, the song name etc and it was a very clean looking interface.

I haven't started investigating jukebox / music playing software yet, but I'm hoping I can get some advise / direction here. I want a nice clean interface like the iPod / Apple TV, and able to be controlled via arcade joysticks etc (obviously). What software / programs are out there for this?

     I am thinking of doing the same thing with my cabinet. I have the 'applesque' layout on Mala and it looks great. You could try that and enable the jukebox function on Mala, I have had a quick play with it and it works fine, just uses the same layout and controls and the Mala FE.

What does an Apple/Ipod display look like ?

I think it has 3D album covers, like singstar.... If you install itunes i thin it's in ther.

You should probably just use itunes for your jukebox software, I've seen commerical jukeboxes that do that.

The only other software that has a 'sleek' interface in my opinion would be SilverJuke, but it doesn't have (to my knowledge) the album flipping feature that itunes has and that stuff.  I have seen other jukebox software that does that (either xLobby or Nordbeat's Jukebox).

the problem with using iTunes is you can't search to easily with a touch screen.  Thats why I use freebox
