Hello,
I just got a Pacman control panel for my project and the harness has been cut off with about 1/4 of wiring left at the connectors, some without anything.  I searched here but didnt see any pictures, but Im in need of a closeup picture of the wires on the back of the control panel so I can make a new harness. If you have a pic, please help me out. Thanks ;)

Will you be wiring it back to the original board?

Do you have the connector from the board to your wires (is that what you're asking)?

If you're not using the original board, it really doesn't matter whether the wiring harness is original.

So assuming you need the original harness pinouts...  http://users.adelphia.net/~68hc11/pacfile/pacfile.htm

Yes, its going to the original board. What I need is just a high quality pic. Im basically going to make my own harness. I need to see where what color is soldered where.  From what I can tell on the cut wires, that the buttons and joystick are wiring in parallel? (Same color wires) I dont know.

The pinout on the link given above has the wire color for each original connection.

The ground is just run up to one switch and then daisy chained to the rest.
So all you would have left to wire up are the actual inputs for each switch.

I'm assuming all you have is the edge connector that connects to the game pcb with wires on it? (nothing hooked up to the buttons and joystick at all) (?)

The colors might be the same as a picture, or they might not.

It would probably be best for you to follow the wires back to where they came from to see what they are.  This should be easy for the CP.  The monitor might be a bit difficult though.

Well, colors arent an issue really. I just want to see where the grounds route to and how the power wires are tied together.  ;) Again, I just need a picture of the back of a control panel and im good to go.
