FS: Seimitsu Parts @ www.jlimports.com
« on: March 08, 2007, 01:34:50 am »
Greetings,

We’ve decided to open up orders for Seimitsu parts straight from Japan! As of the time of this message, we’re just going to carry Seimitsu but if things go well, we’re looking to carry Sanwa parts at sometime as well.  Our method is fairly simple, we have a contact in Japan and once we accumulate enough orders, we send the big order to him, he places it with Seimitsu and then receives the parts and ships to us back in the states where we ship to you guys.

So why do we ship the items from Japan to the USA only to ship them out again? After examining our costs and the time it would take for our contact there to send out each order, we decided this is best.  The added cost to you is minimal and it ensures you that your items are sent via USPS with tracking.  If orders meet a certain size, we ship in the USPS flat rate boxes and can cut shipping rates even more.

So let’s get down to the heart of the matter, costs.  We tried to keep our prices as competitive as possible but at the same time keep in mind we have to compensate our contact there for taking time out of his day to do this for all of us.  Each order, regardless of size, is subject to a $10.00 handling fee.

What does the $10.00 handling fee pay for?

-Placement of order with Seimitsu

-Confirmation of parts received in Japan

-Shipping from Japan to the USA

-Compensation for time spent by our Japanese contact

-Us receiving items in USA, breaking up the big order into your individual orders

-Paypal Fees

-Compensation for time spent by us packaging up your items once they arrive here

What the $10.00 handling fee doesn’t pay for …

-Shipping from our USA location to your USA address

-Items damaged in the mail.  We will do all we can to make sure everything arrives safely and take every precaution packing your items, if there are problems, we do our best to work them out with you but please, understand that once we ship to you, it’s out of our hands.

So how do we price things and what is available for you to buy?  We sell the entire Seimitsu catalog, see the pictures below.  When you decide to order with us, please send an email to (LuisC126@aol.com).  We will process your order and respond with a summary of your order and a total.  Also included in our response will be a Paypal address for you to send the funds to.  Listed below are color choices for each of the items, when ordering, make sure you specify which color you want along with part number.  We will double check this with you before placing your order but we still like to be sure just in case.

If you want to buy something else from Seimitsu, such as a control panel with buttons and sticks in it already or some other item from their catalog, please contact for pricing.

Additionally, if you want to buy something from Japan, we can have our contact find what you want and purchase it for you.  The more information you provide as to what you’re looking for, the better chance he can find it.  Please keep this in reason, no gigantic sized items and be prepared to pay whatever shipping might be.

If you have any questions, please email me at (LuisC126@aol.com).  Don’t PM me or post as I won’t be able to get back to you as quickly as I can if you email me.

If you have a question, contact me via email or on AIM at LuisC126.

Thanks!

-- News

First order has been sent to Seimitsu and paid for.

Due to a large response, we're going to be looking at a couple of things and I wanted to check interest.

First, we've had an overwhelming response about panels for japanese cabinets. Since these are bigger than sticks and buttons, the shipping will be higher. We were considering doing a large shipment of panels for Japanese cabs. If anyone has interest, please email or PM me.

Second, Sanwa Denshi pricing is currently being written up and will be posted here soon. Also, we're going to open a website in the near future with our price lists.

Finally, special orders are open. I've got a couple inquiries about the new 2d fighter Arcana Heart and it looks like my contact has found a source. If those people are still interested, please let me know.

Thanks!

It came to our attention we had made a typo in our email address in the first post. If you didn't get a response, please re-send your email and accept our apologies.

Update ---

We have reason to beleive our contact may have been affected by yesterdays events in Japan.  As some of you know, there was an earthquake.  While we're fairly certain he isn't in the heart of the earthquake since it was mostly coastal, we believe he might have been affected by the power outages caused by the quake.  That being said, we have a phone call and an email in to him but parts are really the last thing on our mind as we want to be sure our friend is alright above anything else.

That being said, if you placed an order and would like a refund, please contact me at LuisC126@aol.com  and I will return your money in full.  As soon as I get word back from him that he is okay and operational, I'll post here.
