what the --smurfyfudgcicleonastick-- is it with firefox and saving pics? it takes quite a while using firefox. computer pretty much freezes while its doing it. whereas the ol' crapola IE knows its a picture youve already downloaded and saves it instantly. why? waaa!

Works perfectly over here. And I can't stand the way IE handles pics. Where is my 'view image' button? Where!?!?! Oh, that's right, rightclick-image properties-copy url-paste it. Takes way too long.

Something wrong with your installation Danny - saving pictures in Firefox takes no effort or time whatsoever here.

story of my life. not much i can do about it then. i bet if i uninstall and reinstall itll do the same thing. im inclined to think there is something missing in xp  that firefox needs but not IE as there are small glitches with xp. maybe time to reformat...

Not only does it work fine for me, but it works much better in Firefox.  In IE I don't have the option to save the pic until it is completely loaded.  Firefox doesn't have this artificial limitation, so I can save about twice as much porn on my computer than I could with IE in the same amount of time.

I kinda like the way osx handles it.  click and drag the entire picture and drop it in a folder from the browser window.  No matter which browser i'm using.

I'm still a pc guy though,  I like the hardware, just hate windo ws
