Sure thing... I'm in Bothell.

Boykster and motorfish are Seattle-area too, if memory serves.

I'm in Seattle, though I have very few notes to share.  I'm in an apartment right now and don't have room for a full size cab, so I have a desktop setup that I sometimes hook to my laptop to use.  I am sort of on the lookout for a cab though that I can make into a multi-platform-emulator.

Chris,
Whereabouts in Bothell, I grew up just south of Mill Creek in unincorporated Snohomish county... Bothell mailing, Everett schools.

I bet there's more of us, our weather breeds plenty of indoorsy types.

Brian

Very south Bothell, basically Juanita.  Near 100th & 145th.

I guess the extra-crappy weather this year has been a mixed blessing.  It's given me lots of time for this new hobby, but I sure miss my golf.   :'(

Did any of you manage to wrangle a free KI2 cab from Ballard about a month ago.  I think I just missed it, but got my hopes up before they were crushed.  My wife even said I could get it after I said I would wait till we had a house, then they said it was gone.

Oh well, as long as it didn't go into a landfill.  I at least hope since it was free that somebody that was going to play with it got it instead  of some one looking to make a buck.

Not me.  I've only picked up one free cab from craigslist.  It was literally 4 blocks from my house, talk about the planets being aligned.  Within the last few months I've seen quite a few good deals, but missed out on everyone I tried to get.

The wife and I just bought a house over on Bainbridge Island. I don't get over to the city much and I pretty much suck at all things woodworking.  :'(

However if someone scheduled a meet I would absolutely be there

OOPS, I should have kept my big stupid mouth shut, now I'll never get one . Too much competition. ;)

Does anybody know if there is a local distributor, I'd like to get some retired cab and restorfy it into a classic looking emulator.  All the for sale stuff on CL seems to be working and outside of my pricerange, I just want a shell to start from.

A guy I used to work with got a free cab from a distributor down by Sodo.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where in that area....that was about 6 months before I got bit by the arcade bug and didn't really pay attention.

He doesn't work there anymore and I have no way of contacting him....

Hey gang,

I have a feeling the mods would appreciate us getting this off the Main board at this point.  Let's wrap this thread and reconvene on the Meet Up board in EE.

I created:  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64391.0
