I had some friends and family over for the Super Bowl. My mother parked close to the mailbox. She normally wants to leave earlier then the rest if my guests. Our neighbor called us to have the car moved so the mailman could deliver. I looked at the car while on the phone with the pest. There was plenty of room for the mailman to stop in front of the mailbox and I told her so and hung up. A little while later an officer was knocking on our door with a complaint from guess who.
Some people are never satisfied.

In all the years I've been getting mail delivered (which would pretty much encompass my whole friggen LIFE), I have NEVER, EVER, NO-FRICKEN-CHANCE-IN-HECK had mail delivered to me on a
SUNDAY. I've also lived in 3 separate states, so I know this isn't specific to just WI.
Why didn't you just tell your brown-nosing busybody neighbor that the car will be moved in time for them to recieve their mail the next day when delivery is actually to be made? Then tell the occifer you weren't drinking so he can't prove that you were driving that mailbox when it got parked in front of that car.
Honestly, you guys get mail delivery on SUNDAY'S?
