It would be pretty funny for a walking mailman to tell me he isn't allowed to get out of his vehicle.  I'd probably steal his shoes on principle.

The guy gets out when it suits him and sometimes even brings the mail up to our door (50 feet from our mailbox).  Other times he won't go around a parked car to put it in the mailbox.  I don't really care but my neighbor will sometimes not get his pension or social security checks until later and that is  :lame:.

The mail people pull this crap here too. Believe it or not, they are not allowed to use reverse to get to a mailbox either! You can report the guy if you want for breaking the rules. That is an unneccessary risk he is taking according to their rules and he will get written up for it.

Why would I report him for providing better service on some days?

Ummm, first you say your mailman refuses to get out of his car due to union rules. Your neighbor misses his checks because of this too. Then you say your mailman walks your mail to your door occasionally.
Which is it already?!?

There was room for the mail truck/car to pull up to the box and then pull away without shifting into reverse.  Stupid neighbor's been a pain in the arse since we moved in and from what I understand even before.

Both.  He refuses to get out when he doesn't feel like it.  Other days he will get out and actually walk up to the house.  Most days there is nothing in the way of the mailbox so he doesn't have to do either.

My mother parked close to the mailbox.  She normally wants to leave earlier then the rest if my guests.  Our neighbor called us to have the car moved so the mailman could deliver.  I looked at the car while on the phone with the pest.  There was plenty of room for the mailman to stop in front of the mailbox and I told her so and hung up.  A little while later an officer was knocking on our door with a complaint from guess who.

Wait... it's your ---smurfing--- maibox, why would the ---smurfette--- care?

Because the mailboxes were close together.

Right in one.  ;)  They are only 3 feet apart.

I had some friends and family over for the Super Bowl.

Some people are never satisfied.

In all the years I've been getting mail delivered (which would pretty much encompass my whole friggen LIFE), I have NEVER, EVER, NO-FRICKEN-CHANCE-IN-HECK had mail delivered to me on a SUNDAY.  I've also lived in 3 separate states, so I know this isn't specific to just WI.

Why didn't you just tell your brown-nosing busybody neighbor that the car will be moved in time for them to recieve their mail the next day when delivery is actually to be made?  Then tell the occifer you weren't drinking so he can't prove that you were driving that mailbox when it got parked in front of that car.

Honestly, you guys get mail delivery on SUNDAY'S? :dizzy:

My mail lady is nice...but a lazy pain in the ass for sure.  If she has a package that is too large for the box,  she honks her horn.  If I don' t run out there like a good little doggie she leaves a slip of paper in my box saying to pick up the package at the post office...

Wow.  At least my mailman walks it up to the porch and leaves it there (35 or so feet from the box, the box is on the roadside).

I HATE when they do that. I can only get to my post office on Saturdays because of work, and they are only open for 3 hours in the morning. I've only had it happen twice thank goodness, but both times the packages have sat at the post office for two weeks or more.
