Hey haruman. Simple question. You know what voltage the SMD's are? Thinking about making my guide buttons light up when the controller is on, figured the best way to do this would be to solder leads to the smd's. Not sure what kind of voltage these are putting out though, and I have no multi meter...

Thanks. I'll give it a try when I get home.

Don't know for sure... for some reason I want to say 3.3V, but I'll try to check later.

Here is a good link, for those that want to light up their dome button and have it turn on and off with the controller.

don't know where the equivalent points would be on the mad catz though.... I am investigating...

Of course, other non standard controllers may work, too.
Typically, my controller of choice these days is the MadCatz fightpad, it's common ground, it's cheap, and both triggers are already digital. Not to mention it has a switch that makes the D-pad act like either the left or right analog stick, if needed.

That's about what I figured, thanks.....
I'm just trying to find cheaper pcbs, considering what we are going to do to them the controller itself can be utter crap. "hero" controllers also have the added benefit of being solderless.... not that soldering is a big deal, but when you pop it open everything would look cleaner.
I like the fightpad as an option, but does it have rumble support or not? I have an idea in mind, but I need some rumble outputs to pull it off.
