Where is this pelican stuff everyone is talking about?!  Every time I look for pelican, all I find are game pads. (?)

If you're talking about the Real Arcade controllers, then yes. A Happ Super was an easy swap on mine. I have the PS2-specific version, but they should be the same. The joysticks that come on them are basically a copy of the Super with cheap, loud switches. The same goes for the buttons. I swapped mine out with standard Happ horizontal buttons.

Pelican makes all types of gaming stuff. As third-party controllers go, they seem OK quality.

well i did opposite of what you would recommend, as i'm putting the pelican ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- in my custom cp, 4 player, and I broke a joystick, well it came broken and it is just annoying me to try to fix cuz it involves krazy glue and plastic, haha, so, i might just order a black happs super i guess, thanks a bunch this was very pleasant info to get.

The switches are the biggest difference. Despite the fact that the Super is built more heavy-duty, one of its cherry switches stopped working. I stole one of the switches off of the Pelican joystick and swapped it easily. Now it's kind of loud when I press up, but at least it works. I mostly use my RealArcade stick for playing around at my desktop computer and playing console games. Works well on XBox emulators with an adapter. And Soul Calibur is awesome with it.
