Doom poster
« on: February 24, 2007, 04:09:13 pm »
This forum isn't technically the correct place to put this but I thought it might appeal to somebody with a nice games room.

I would prefer the item goes to an enthusiast rather than to a business minded person who just wants to make a few quick bucks from it.

Anyway.... I have an original Doom poster for sale for anyone interested. I think it would look bloody great framed and behind glass. Doom poster

Wow... that takes me back
I think I still have one of those in the original DOOM box for the PC.  (have to go poke around for it now)

That's cool.  I'd use it in a pinball machine from scratch, much like the Futurama pin from a while back.

Of course finding other Doom art would be the hard part.

Bones, I have a "bone" to pick with you.

That fine, fine red haired, blue-girl that used to be your avatar; she MUST return.  These tramps you have trapsing in and out of that spot since she left are simply not up to snuff.

Please address this, post haste.

Thank you.

Now THAT rocks !!
I've been wanting to do something like that for awhile now, just haven't come up with a theme yet.

Cool poster. I have an Id calling card... Think it came with the first Quake. It's all black with a devil skull on it.
Can't even find pics of it in google, so I don't know if a lot of them are out there.

Very nice poster.  I' still have a few copu of the Doom "beta" on 3.5 floppies.  I got it from a guy selling it on a wildcat BBS from texas.  He said it was like wolf but on steriods!  I loaded that bad boy and played for days!  It still has the X,Y access on the bottom of the game when playing and would crash often, but those where the days!  I have it in a case next to the first release of windows 95 that I was a tester for.  I bet the doom floppies would fetch a pretty penny on ebay now!

Well it's gone now. I was hoping for a few more bucks but that didn't happen..... If I thought I was only going to get $40 I would have kept it.

The winning bidder seems pretty excited, said he would send me some photos after it was framed and mounted.

I will post the pics here if that ever happens.
