CPO Graphic

Hey! I just applied the CPO I got from MameMarquee.com 

I have to admit I like it a lot.  The guy who helped me with it wants me to post it for comments.

I did not want to because *I* like it and *if* there is something wrong ...  it is a little late !

I am guessing he wants comments for his work. 

The "heroes" were scanned in and the concept was ALL me.  But my friend is the graphic King and DID put a lot of work into it .. There were some Bubble issues but that was completely my fault for rushing the job.

So with(out) much ado I give you ...

How hard was the application, and what would you ahve done differently to minimize the bubbles?

Also, how is the "polycarbonite laminate"?  I'm considering using just the mm.com cp with the laminate coating instead of putting plexi ro lexan over the cp - jsut looking for some feedback on it.

The Application was REALLY easy.  I had a hard time (ie needed a second person) Because my CP is 56" wide!

The Polycarbonite laminate was a bit thinner than I expected.  But it seems and feels VERY durable.  Very thick for vinyl.

I like it better that the Plexi overlay.  The Plexi looks good but it just seems to make the panel so thick (especially with 3/4" MDF, which is what I used).

Also I just used a hobby knife (razor) to cut out the holes.  Plexi would have been more drilling.

MM.com is EXCELLENT to deal with and the graphics turned out better than I expected.

If I were to do again I would have waited until the next day or 2 after I applied.  Just to let the adhesive "cure".  ON the site it says if your CP curves more than 30 degrees, get some more adhesive spray.  Well when I was trimming, I left a tiny overlap on the sides.  I thought I will just tuck that under the T-molding ...  yeah that is a 90 degree bend ... I did not think such a small lip would matter.  But then again I wonder if letting the adhesive "cure" would have helped.  I applied it and put the T-molding on in one night.

That is what caused some bubbles along the edge.  I still Like it and probably no one will notice but me or if I pointed it out (or a BYOAC person was there).  But I would not do that again.

Excellent graphics.  I love it.

I like the artwork. It looks like the trackball could've been placed more in the center of the ball(whatever the blue thing is in the middle). I think it would center everything up a bit better.

No biggie though - looks good.

That is what I was going for and it was centered in my plans.

But I think my inexperience in applying the overlay messed it up ...  I agree ... no biggie.
