DreamCast Analog Control on Arcade Stick
« on: March 30, 2002, 08:21:31 am »
HEy guys I just hooked up my dreamcast sucessfully to my perfect 360. Thanks for all the help. I wonder if any knows a way to wire the analog controls to the joystick as well. I know its only 8 way but X-arcade wired it so that if you hold on the joystick in a direction for like a second longer it emulates the analog stick. Does any know a way. There are alot of games that you need to use the analog, Thanks for the help

try the dc2jamma writeup at:

http://www.mameworld.net/pc2jamma/arc_dc4.html

It details wiring up the hall effect sensors of the analog controls to digital inputs.

Hey SilverCrw, how do those perfect 360s feel?  do you play any fighting games like Capcom vs SNK 2 on it? or do you just play other types of games on it?
If so, how does the perfect 360 respond to fireball movements?  is it smooth and what not, or is it a little hard since there are no corners or anything?
-sorry I don't know much about the analog joystick on the dreamcast pad
