help with pot style spinner
« on: March 30, 2002, 09:17:47 pm »
I just got my ipac and optipac today and all ready to start wiring it up.  Now all the joysticks and buttons are new and the trackball is a wico, but the spinner is off a omega race arcade game.  It has a small pot? on the bottom with 2 wires coming out, any special way to wire this up to my optipac or will it work at all?

If you have the adapter that came with it you might be able to make it work. The OmegaRace first used an optical spinner and later swtched to the pot type spinner. It should have been connected through a small pcb (with a couple of chips if I remember correctly). You'd need the schematic to figure it out (search on google). Try that and post if you get it working....
