Anyone got any idea of how much bandwidth would be needed to host a thumbnail gallery for finished cabinets that were built by BYOAC members?
I own a local VW forum for East Anglia UK
(DeutschWorks) and am using about 1GB out of 100GB data transfer a month and I doubt it'll increase much more than that. I was thinking of making a sub domain, one clean basic page with thumbnails and hosting the images so they don't end up as dead links. Each image would have very basic information under the thumbnail (project name, makers name, website link) The main cabinet picture from the thumbnail would be resized down to an acceptable size to help with bandwidth usage.
Any thoughts or objections? I'd just like to be able to click around quickly and easily to see all these home-built cabs but at the moment have to visit the builders website and find image links, click through 'Project Announcements' until I find a finished shot, you know how it is.
Of course with links to this forum and Saint's
'Project Arcade' Bible
