if you want a good all round double action that can go from small detail to a mini spray gun then the paasche vl is great as you can fit quite large jars of paint onto it, or small paint cups (about thimble sized) . if all you do is fine detail and fiddly stuff then i hear iwata are the bomb, but they literally only hold a few drops of paint.

I've used Paasche and Badger in the past. Both seemed to work fine. Badger 'felt' a bit higher in quality, but that may have just been a difference in models I was using.
