Couple of requests...
« on: October 17, 2006, 05:16:36 pm »
Hi,

I have a couple of requests/queries/suggestions that I think would help make the forum easier to use... (not thats its not already great...)

1)  Autosave before hitting "Post" button. This may be beyond the forum software, and may add a heavy tax on the system but losing a huge post is painful. Would be great if an autosave feature could be added. If thats impossible, then saving posts when attaching items would be a HUGE improvement. Attaching an incorrect filetype, too big an image etc... causes you to lose the whole post.

2) Search just one thread. This would be awesome - there are all these 15 page threads on people projects, and if trying to find something in there about how you bend MDF or whatever when you know the project but not the poster. Even better - a "search this thread" button!

3) I've seen this posted before, not sure if the fault is in firefox itself or just an incompatibility with SMF and firefox - but jumping back to the position in the previous page you were looking at when you go back on a link would be great. I know this works in IE, but knowing a workaround would be great!

Anyway, even if all thats not on - this is still my favourite board...
