- how about you didnt misadvertized your item and no one calls no one scammer.
- OR give me a refund and call it even.
- OR send me earbuds with both sides or the $ to get a new one and the $ to ship the psp back to you for an exchange.

THEN I wouldnt call you a scammer but you didnt do any of that, instead you took the easy way out and wrote paypal some BS story so they "take your side". them taking your side doesnt make you the "good seller". they took your side because you LIED to paypal about the situation which is usually the easy way out.

"dear paypal, sold a working sony psp handheld system on byoab.com to a member which is the one im filing with, well, i sent out psp via usps priority mail, so he recived items and then emails me telling me that he wont be able to mod that sony psp, so asks for a refund, i told him i could not refund him the money unless the sony psp was broken which it wasen't, he complained about not being able to play emulated games and using pirated games on it, i never mentioned to him anything about using it for that purpose but only to be able to play it like it's meant to play with umd movies and umd psp games,not pirated games which is illeagle. i told him noway he had the right to ask for a refund for that purpose,now im stuck with this and he's been pm'ing me and threating me that "I WILL GIVE HIM A REFUND" so i really dont know what to say about it, therefore i leave it to you guys to do your job!!THANKS AGAIN PAYPAL.... It's because snaakes poor methodology doesn't erase your side.  I feel like you are admitting no fault here.  You use the paypal thing to say that you were "right".  Am I way off?  I could be - I'm not going to read all these threads.  It seems that your side - what you did to start this - was to intentionally leave out facts in a sale.  THAT is unforgivable to me, no matter how poorly snaake communicated this truth to the community.  Now you are desperately name calling.  Honestly it suprises me to see old timers giving serious replies.

This is the entire reason I'm even in this.  I think Snaake is killing himself with the terrible typing, but OC is by far wrong here.  MC, what will PM's do for future traders of OC's?

I am just surpristed at how oceancube is STILL trying to prove something here and doesnt even admit its his fault. he knew what he was doing all along AND he knew he could send paypal some retarded story and get away with it. He completly ignores any logic and bring up some poor excuse for his actions. something like "oh paypal took me side and that means I didnt do anything wrong by false advertizing and sending my customer a different psp with dead pixels and busted earbuds".

I realize I am not the best at this but what oceancube did EASILY outweighs my poor methodology.

For what it's worth, unless someone is blatantly trying to rip people off I try to stay out of transactions and let the free market work, which it does for the most part. Rarely will I step in unless I think I'm needed. In Harpal's case, for instance, I blocked him from deleting his account and blocked him from deleting/modifying his posts, so that they could be kept in case anyone needed them for proof of some sort.

In this case however, though this certainly was a transaction gone bad, but it's not clear to me that either side is blatantly trying to rip the other off. I personally think both sides have represented themselves poorly on this one, and having made their cases I would appreciate it they'd stop threadcrapping each other (hint guys, my mod-finger is getting itchy). Frankly the only statement I've heard so far that raised my hackles is the one of Snaake's who stated among other things:

whatever I am not mad..I sold the psp as 1.5 to someone for $200, kept the 1gb card AND didnt say anything about the busted earbuds with one side. Oh well sucks to be the guy thinking he bought a 1.5 psp

So, either Snaake's blowing smoke to make a point, or has just admitted to everyone that he will lie to you intentionally if it suits him to do so when selling something to you. By that statement alone I think Snaake has damaged his credibility and ability to sell products and services to people here, despite a reasonable track record previously in doing so. And Snaake, before you jump on me, I think the transaction between you and Ocean should have been cancelled, there doesn't seem to be any question that you did not get what you were told you were getting. That doesn't make the circus it became afterwards between the two of you justifiable however.

I'm not real sure why a mod (outside of Saint saying to leave the topic alone) didn't step in and say something.  This kind of stuff in the BST forum is a problem that should be addressed.  It appears that it just slipped through the cracks.  Maybe because it was Snake or whatever, but it definitely should not have.

By the way Oceancube - based on responses like this to an angry customer, I would not purchase anything from you. If you can't satisfy a customer, your best response would be something like:

"I'm sorry I wasn't able to make you happy with this transaction. My offer to remedy the situation that I previously proposed stands if you would like to take me up on it.  If not, I regret that it didn't work out."

or some such. Calling people names, failing to have a grasp of grammer, capitalization, and punctuation, and other such emotional responses have damaged your reputation far more than any single bad transaction could have. You are your own worse enemy here, not Snaake.

saint i tried doing that in the past with him, i told him i was wrong and such but didn't work, i know i messed up big time by starting to say things back, which i should've just kept quiet ,but he kept going and going, i will drop this at once and once again im sorry for what has happened, i really did try but it just didn't work out for me on this transaction.....sorry dude's!!!!!!
