vertical rom sorter
« on: August 30, 2006, 10:36:24 pm »
Hi Gang,

I needed a vertical rom sorter for my vertical cabinet and was not able to find one newer then JoyMonkeys 0.90. So I had to make one to get the job done. It is basicly Joymonkeys sorter that I put a new rom list into.

If JoyMonkey does not have any objection I can make it available to all that want it.

I could not find my old registration info from a few years ago so I had to create this new account......

Thanks everyone

John

I think (I could be wrong) That this is because most FE's can now sort and filter game lists.

very well could be,

I did not want to have to copy over all of the extra roms that would not be used on the cabinet, plus the hard dirve was not big enough for everything. So a little batch file is just what I needed. I dont have a FE installed on this machine since I dont play on it.....

Thanks for the info though, I am still using a version of mameWah that is 2 - 3 yrs old in one cabinet.

If it ain't broke........

Yup - all the front ends include sorting now. You should really check out what the new stuff has to offer:

I will check it out, all of my large stuff (games) have been in storage since I relocated to Florida. It is all coming out now and I have a couple of new projects I am about to start, so I have been a bit out of touch with the changes in the last 2 years.

Thanks

John

It would be great if you made it available. Fe's do sort but this utility moves them so you only have what you need on your hd.

Thats why I did it, the hard drive in the machine was too small to take the full set.

enjoy,
