Got to play on one last year at the CA Extreme arcade & pinball event. I got to play badly in front of a lot of people.
Some people were really good, though, and got to display their skills on the wall. Tempest looked great, but starwars looked, umm, like the vectors "interlaced"
some of the time (like the lines were skipped). Especially the deathstar explosions. I talked to one of the developers, and he said that starwars was pushing the laser projector speed limits, and some games were too much for laserMame, the laser projectors that is. (Don't remember which ones, though.)
Pretty nice. LaserMame and LaserDisc games projected onto a 30 foot (?) wall next to each other, with lots of old school games and pinball machines looking on.
