Jeez!

If it was raining - you'd have a good storyline for a movie. Nice road trip.

Question... when you restore a game like Space Ace. Do you make a dedicated daphne cabinet or do you use the actual laser discs?

I don't have a pcb yet, but  until I'll get one, I'll use Daphne emulator with a true laser disc player. I've the Space Ace disc and the player, so no problems at all  8)

Is it a quest to bury Space Ace? The hole at the bottom looks big enough. ;)

Looks like your going to need the help of a Cleric to resurrect it. Good luck and have fun.

If you thought you were being careful retrieving it, just thing how careful you will be with it when you've got a few months and several hundred dollars into it.

With the hole at the bottom and the slippery slope, I would rather be pulling than pushing.

?? Does it need to go back down after the restoration...

Can any video disc player be used? I saw a commercial home-use one at a garage sale.

No.
It has to be a model with the "logic" port.
(for lack of better terminology)
So if you can get the model number off of it......then might be worth checking out.

There's links on this page to all kinds of disc player info, models, upgrades, etc.

Check out the "Tech Center"

Hell of an adventure for the Space Ace cabinet!!
Gotta love them laserdisc games...... good luck to ya Darth Nuno.

I'm sure you're going to do a great job after that pick up....but I have to ask.....since it's in such bad shape would it have been easier to replicate the cab from scratch?

Regardless....good luck. I know you'll have fun.

Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?
