Black light?
« on: June 14, 2006, 09:32:21 am »
I am looking for a black light tube no longer than 60 cm to fit in my cab ( for the backlight on the marquee). Problem is, I can only find the bulbs. Which get too hot in the cab.

anybody know of any manufacturers in Europe which produce these units and who possibly also sell online?

Here's the first one from a google search of "black light" fluorescent UK:

Any of the T5s and the first 2 of the T8s fit your specs.

Yeah, I think it's just the bulb that's different. Just a regular flourescent light fixture.

By the way, why the black light for a marquee light? Won't the marquee block the effect?

yeah, cold cathode tubes are awesome. I'm using a couple of the 4" white kind in my micro cab. Molex-powered for easy on/off!

Dont use a black like the look horable as a backlight in most cases.  I use one and im switching it out for a normal light.

Ok, you convinced me. I will not use the blacklight  for my cab. I will check Maplins out. There must be an equivalent somewhere around here....

Thanks you guys.
