You know, this really ticks me off. I purposely don't get involved in discussions like this so as to not be perceived as trying to influence it, and the one time I do chime in with what is only my personal opinion I get dumped on for it.
This isn't a slogan discussion thread where people are discussing which slogans they like and which ones they don't, this is a voting thread. But even though this is a voting thread, there are some people (which now includes you,
saint) who feel the need to continue their campaign against a single slogan.
If you ("you" being anybody, not just saint) weren't interested in influencing anybody, then why post your negative feelings about this particular slogan at all? Why claim you won't buy any if that slogan wins?
If you ("you" being anybody, not just saint) just wanted to talk about how you felt about the slogan
S, then why do you give no opinions about the others?
Because slogan-dicusssion isn't what you guys are interested in. You're intersted in making it very very clear that you do not want one particular slogan to win.
As I've said before, there are slogans that EVERYbody hates. EVERYbody who casts a vote feels that some slogans are better than others. But ONLY the anti "All Your Games" people feel the need to complain publicly about it. Everybody else is content to just let the anonymous voting play out... but not you guys.
I'm not accusing you of censorship, saint. I haven't seen you delete any posts in here (that I'm aware of). I'm just calling a spade a spade. As you said, you posted in this thread for one reason, to give your opinion. But you obviously were only interested in sharing your opinion about one particular slogan. Not one that you liked, not one that you hoped would win, not one that you voted for, but one you hope doesn't win.
I won't debate what your intentions were there, but you follow it up by suggesting that Santoro should determine the final token NOT based on which one might actually win the vote, but by it's marketability.
If you believe that that's what Santoro should do, then obviously Santoro should know if there's a particular slogan that people hate, right? And what better way than for people to come in and state clearly that there's one slogan that they don't think should be on the token. Surely Santoro should know what slogan will/might prevent people from buying any tokens at all and he should make his decision based on that. So if people posting opinions about what slogan they hate isn't an attempt to influence something, then I'm not sure what is.
