OK my problem is when I go to launch a game from Mamewah the screen minimizes. I can here the sound playing, but all I get is a black screen. If I ALT/TAB I can get back in the game and all is fine. This problem does not seem game specific its actually random but quite often. Im using MAME 105b & Mamewah 161 on Windows XP. Running MAME from command line does not cause this issue. I also tried several other FE

Try changing the {nodosbox} and {nosafelaunch} settings to {dosbox} and {safelaunch} ..... try all combinations of both until you find one which works ...

I would recommend trying the MALA frontend.  Pure GUI interface and has all options MameWah has and a bunch more .... very easy to set up and use.   You can even use MameWah layouts in MALA as well .... so everything looks exactly the same when selecting games, etc....

That is not exactly the case.  No disrespect to Mala though, I am in the middle of a personal debate over Mamewah vs. Mala right now.

Oh woe is me!!   :hissy:
